hellooooooo...
i went on a vacation with my parents... this is my last vacation before i start to work.. i won't have much free time anymore later because the real chapter of life (working, learn to provide my life by myself) is starting soon !
i had the chance to visit BALI and some more place... Thank you so much to my parents...
Day 1 - September 24th, 2009.arrived at Ngurah Rai International Airport around 3 PM. The Jakarta - Bali flight took around one and half hours.
my mom used the "rent a car" service. so there's a driver (he's a guide too) who took us around Bali.
First, he took us to
GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana). I don't really understand their (Bali's local people) culture so i hardly remember why there's this GWK place. If i am not mistaken, there's this plan to make a very big statue about Wisnu and something about that. But the statue haven't finished yet. So the statue is parted into some parts.
there's more ... but i didn't took the photographs..
After that, our guide took us to
Pecatu, we're going to see the sunset at the
Dreamland Beach. Unfortunately, we're late ! So we missed it :( But the beach is nice...
i hardly smile at that time because i missed the sunset. and because it was getting dark, i can't see the color of the water clearly anymore. i saw some pictures of this Dreamland Beach from other blogs and it's super nice.. the water is so clear and blue...
This is the view of the Dreamland Beach from a restaurant called Kelapa something... the restaurant had a pool at the edge (you can see it at the picture) so that the pool imaginary looks like connected to the sea. very nice.
And it's dinner time...... the guide took us to
Jimbaran, a famous place where there are so many restaurants on the beach. The guide chose one of the restaurants for us (they all do sell the same foods - seafood). There are many foreigners there.
Jimbaran do sells the atmosphere and view to the sea. But i myself don't feel it's super nice because it's dark (how can i enjoy the view, i hardly saw the sea). But yeah it's quite nice because we can listen to the waves, smell of the sea, etc.
But here's one thing which makes me don't want to dine in there anymore.
it's SUPER EXPENSIVE! the prices are crazy! for example, the most expensive one which is written in the menu (which is also their special menu) is lobster. and the price is: IDR 650.000,- / kg ! Can you imagine that? a kg usually contains 2 lobsters only. another example, the prices for squids and other common seafood are all above IDR 115.000,- / kg. It's 3 times the normal price!
because of their so expensive prices, we ordered a 1 1/2 person portion of meals for 3. If we ordered the real portion 3 for 3, then we might spend a lot a lot a lot ( i can't imagine that). and the foods are so - so, they are
not super delicious at all!
that's the menu in Russian language.
they had menu in so many languages because the visitors are from around the world! when i was dining there, my next table is Korean, the other next is Japanese, from Venice, etc.
and it's bedtime already.. we rent a room at a homestay.
so that's my 1st day. i felt so so at that time and i was still wondering why people loves Bali that much at that time. I felt so because i haven't experienced anything so special at that time :P

to be continued :)
